Use your own domain with Pages

Show your page at your own address — like www.yourbusiness.com — instead of an allpurposeforms.com link. It's one DNS record, a free secure (https) certificate, and about ten minutes of your time.

What you need

Your email keeps working. We only use the www part of your domain, so email (MX) records are never touched.

How it works

  1. Tell us your domain In All Purpose Forms, open Pages, find Use your own domain, enter www.yourbusiness.com and choose which page to show there.
  2. Add one record at your domain provider
    TypeName / HostValue / Points toTTL

    If a www record already exists, edit it or delete it first — a name can only have one record.
  3. Forward the version without www Set yourbusiness.com to forward (redirect) to https://www.yourbusiness.com, so both addresses reach your page. Most providers call this Forwarding or Redirect — choose permanent (301) if asked.
  4. Click "Check my domain" Back in Pages, click Check my domain. Once we see your record, we set up the secure certificate automatically and your page goes live.

What the status means

Waiting for your DNS record — we haven't seen the change yet. DNS updates usually show up within minutes, but can take a few hours.
Securing your domain — your record is in place and we're issuing the https certificate. Usually a few minutes.
Live — your page is showing at your domain.

Step-by-step for popular providers

Menu names change from time to time, but the record itself is always the same: CNAME, name www, pointing to connect.allpurposeforms.com.

GoDaddy
  1. Sign in and go to My Products → Domains, then choose your domain and open DNS (or Manage DNS).
  2. Look for an existing CNAME named www (GoDaddy often creates one pointing to @). Edit it; if there isn't one, click Add New Record.
  3. Type CNAME, Name www, Value connect.allpurposeforms.com, TTL 1 hour. Save.
  4. For the version without www: open your domain's Forwarding section, add forwarding to https://www.yourbusiness.com, and choose Permanent (301).
Namecheap
  1. Go to Domain List, click Manage next to your domain, then open Advanced DNS.
  2. Delete any existing records for host www, and the default "parking page" record if there is one.
  3. Click Add New Record → CNAME Record: Host www, Value connect.allpurposeforms.com, TTL Automatic. Click the check mark to save.
  4. For the version without www: add a URL Redirect Record with Host @, value https://www.yourbusiness.com, set to Permanent (301).
Cloudflare (if your domain's DNS is on Cloudflare)
  1. Open your domain, go to DNS → Records, and click Add record.
  2. Type CNAME, Name www, Target connect.allpurposeforms.com, and set Proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud). Save.
  3. For the version without www: create a Redirect Rule (under Rules) that sends yourbusiness.com to https://www.yourbusiness.com with status 301. The bare domain needs a proxied DNS record for the rule to run — Cloudflare's redirect guide shows how.
Squarespace Domains (including domains moved from Google Domains)
  1. Open Domains, choose your domain, then go to DNS (or DNS Settings).
  2. Under Custom records, add a record: Type CNAME, Host www, Data connect.allpurposeforms.com. Remove any other www record first.
  3. For the version without www: add a domain forwarding rule from @ to https://www.yourbusiness.com (permanent / 301).
Wix, Hostinger, Bluehost, IONOS and others
  1. Find your domain's DNS settings (sometimes called DNS Zone, DNS Records or Advanced DNS).
  2. Add or edit the www record so it's a CNAME pointing to connect.allpurposeforms.com.
  3. Set up forwarding / redirect for the bare domain to https://www.yourbusiness.com.
  4. Stuck? Your provider's support can do this for you in a couple of minutes — just send them the table from step 2 above.

Common questions

How long does it take?

The setup itself takes about ten minutes. After you add the record, most domains go live within an hour; occasionally DNS changes take up to a day to spread.

Will this affect my email?

No. We only use the www record. Your email (MX) records stay exactly as they are.

Do I need to buy an SSL certificate?

No. We set up and renew a free https certificate for your domain automatically.

Why www instead of just yourbusiness.com?

The www address can be connected with a single record at any provider. Forwarding the bare domain to www means visitors who type either address reach your page.

I already have a website on my domain. What happens?

Pointing www to us replaces whatever currently shows at www.yourbusiness.com. If you want to keep your existing site, use a different address instead — for example quote.yourbusiness.com, with quote as the record name.

Can I have more than one page on my domain?

Yes. The page you choose shows at your domain's home address, and your other published pages appear at www.yourbusiness.com/page-address.

What if I stop the Pages add-on?

Your page stops showing at your domain, but nothing is deleted. Renew any time and it comes straight back — or point your www record somewhere else.
